In this project, the goal was to redesign the 'Hostal Paquita' website to make it more user-friendly and dynamic. To achieve this, I based my analysis on Nielsen's Heuristic Evaluation method. I concentrated on the homepage, ensuring that all relevant information was prominently featured there.

The original website had numerous issues: small typography, insufficient information, a homepage dominated by pictures, and an outdated design. To address these problems, I analyzed its strengths and weaknesses to gather valuable insights.

Once I gathered the information, I categorized all the website's errors according to Nielsen's Heuristic Evaluation principles. Then, I sought solutions for each identified issue.

I decided to redesign the website from the ground up, introducing new branding and creating a homepage that is aesthetically pleasing, informative, useful, and intuitive.
On the homepage, I designed a form for checking bedroom availability, encouraging immediate engagement with the hostal's purpose. I also maintained the original header information as much as possible and chose typography similar to the original. As users scroll down, they will see images of the different bedrooms along with important details and a call-to-action button.
Subsequent sections provide information about the hostal's history and identity to build trust, include reviews from other guests, and offer contact details and the hostal's address
